Hello again friends!

Ashli and I recently returned from a much needed vacation to the beautiful island of Oahu, and are finally getting back into the swing of things again. We decided to take time away from social media so we could spend our energy being present and absorbing the world in front of us.

We'd like to share some of our favorite highlights of the trip, and also finally premier a couple of brand new designs for summer that so perfectly explain how we've been feeling in recent months! I'm just going to give a short summary of some of our favorite highlights (we were there for 2 weeks, so it would be easy to go overboard on details). So instead of writing out what we did chronologically, I'll just group together some of our adventures by activities, and if you'd like to know more about anything, just leave us a message in the comments! :)

Hikes

I'll preface this section by saying that neither myself or Ashli would consider ourselves very athletic, but our friend (who we were staying with) is in the Marines and likes to take every opportunity to push us to our physical limits - which isn't very far if I must say. However, I'm very proud of us because we both hiked through forests, scaled steep dirt hills, rock climbed up cliff sides, and found ourselves enjoying the views from the tops of several mountains. Which also made coming back to our home in the prairie all the more unsatisfying...

Ocean Activities

We tried to get to the beach for at least a couple of hours a day, however it still feels like we didn't get nearly enough sun, sand, and swimmies.

Just Hawaii Things

A few of us have been to Hawaii before, and a few were experiencing island life for the first time, so we revisited some awesome tourist activities in our second week, and spent some time taking it slow and hanging out on some easier trails (also a great excuse to rest our tired legs from the first week of crazy hikes)

Everyone who put up with living with each other in one house for 2 weeks (minus Jen!). We've been best friends for 8+ years now, and I don't see that changing any time soon. I truly believe the perfect way to experience the world is with your friend-family. <3

So there you have a folks - a small sampling of our two weeks in paradise. I wish I could say that the trip filled our need for travel as much as it emptied our bank accounts, but instead we are now prematurely planning our dream trip to Europe that will hopefully happen in two years!

It was, however, a perfect opportunity to take a step back from the busy world we live in and focus on our friendships, our experiences, and pushing ourselves to new levels both mentally and physically. We also focused a lot on eating... no one ever mentions how DELICIOUS everything is in Hawaii.

One last note before I sign off - as I mentioned before, this trip really spoke to our state of mind while creating our summer line. The new designs are about pushing past the stress and distractions of our busy lives, and reconnecting with the world and the people who matter. We hope you love these new shirts (which are seriously some of the MOST comfortable pieces of clothing I've ever put on), and that you get a chance to seek an amazing adventure very soon!

xx
